NORSOK
The NORSOK Standards were established utilizing the vast experience of the Norwegian Petroleum Industry. They reference internationally recognized standards while adding requirements found to be effective in battling the stringent environment and stress of the North Sea. .

| NORSOK M-650 | NORSOK M-650 was established to ensure manufacturers are knowledgeable and competent to produce specialty alloys such as Duplex, Super Duplex, Nickel Alloys and Titanium.
The standard dictates specific parameters for certifying the necessary facilities and equipment, confirming it functions according to the requirements to manufacture the specified grades. The manufacturer must also have significant experience in producing the qualifying material. Testing in accordance to requirements set forth in the standard must be made available for review along with the established Manufacturing Summary which details each step of the manufacturing process from begin to end. Qualifications must be certified through a 3rd party witness (EN10204:3.2). Additionally, manufacturers must have a Quality Management System in accordance to ISO 9001 or its equivalent. The standard encompasses the following grades and forms: All grades and product forms and dimensions of Duplex Stainless Steel (Such as UNS S31803, UNS S32750, UNS S32760) All product forms and dimensions of High Alloys Austenitic Stainless Steel (Such as UNS S31254, UNS N08926)Castings in Nickel Based Alloys Castings in Titanium. These standards constitute provisions of this NORSOK standard: ASTM A 703, ASTM A 991, EN 10204:2004, ISO 9001 and NORSOK M-630. |
